Registered Psychologist
Amy Patterson (she/her)
At The Mind Place, I juggle a few roles: practice owner, psychologist, admin, and supervisor - all with the same goal in mind: creating a space that celebrates and affirms neurodivergent experiences, both in the therapy room and beyond. I'm autistic and have ADHD too (Audhd). I’m a deep thinker with a knack for noticing patterns, so I thrive on noticing patterns in how people think and experience life. I often work with clients exploring their neurotype, whether that’s processing a diagnosis, exploring a self-identification, or simply getting to know themselves better. Topics we often look at include developmental trauma, autistic burnout, meltdowns, masking, communication differences, accommodations, anxiety, alexithymia, executive functioning differences, or procrastination. My therapeutic approach is relational, neuroaffirming, feminist, and strength-based. I bring curiosity and compassion to sessions, with the goal of creating a space where your experiences are understood, your identity is respected, and your strengths are supported.

Shannnon Borg (they/them)
I am completing my Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology through Athabasca University. I am autistic + ADHD, with an understanding shaped by discovering my neurodivergence later in life. I bring a strong academic and personal focus on neurodiversity. I am a parent to neurodivergent children, and this experience has shaped my commitment to neuroaffirming, strengths-based environments. I bring this perspective into the therapeutic relationship by supporting clients in exploring their authentic selves, recognizing their unique strengths, and using their interests and strengths as foundations for self-care, self-compassion, and personal growth. My areas of interest include supporting neurodivergent clients of all ages, working with children and parents, and providing affirming care for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and communities.

Bria Jezersek (she/her)
As a late-diagnosed autistic woman myself, I have a first-hand understanding of both the challenges and strengths that come with neurodivergence. I hope to work with individuals in various stages of their self-discovery journey and work with them on self-understanding and acceptance.

Graduate Intern Therapist
Aydra Rowley (she/her)
Hi, I’m Aydra! I’m currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. As someone navigating life with ADHD, I bring both personal and professional insight into the unique challenges and strengths that come with being neurodivergent. I’m passionate about supporting others who are exploring their own neurodivergence, or simply trying to make sense of life’s complexities. Whether you're navigating questions of identity, or finding your path forward, my goal is to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel seen, heard, and supported just as you are.
